Congratulations Mary!
Today has been an eventful day for the Gardiners. My sister-in-law went through the temple today. It was nice to have our family together for this and to be able to go through with her. She is getting married this week and chose today to go and and take out her endowment. It was amazing to see her and Ryan as they came into the celestial room. They are such a fun couple and are way cute together. Being there and seeing them in love makes me go back to when Paul and I first got together. Its nice to have those memories. I'm glad that we are still as in love as we were then if not more. I'm happy that she found Ryan and that he will become part of the family. After the temple we went to my in-laws for a small luncheon. It was nice to be able to get to know Ryans family better.
For our date tonight we went to see Harry Potter. I loved it. I kind of didn't know what to expect because I have heard different things about it. I liked it though and am glad that we were able to go out and be together just the two of us. I love our date nights and hope to have many more fun ones ahead for us. Hope everyone is having an amazing month!

10 Years Later...

I know this is something kind of small but I'm way excited! I finally found the song I Will Stand by Christie Hinkson! I seriously have been looking for it for 10 years. Its kind of been on again off again, but ever since the first time I 've heard it, I have been on the look out. Just a couple of weeks ago I started really looking for it again. Its a great song. There is a story behind it. When I was first a beehive in YW I had a YW leader that I just loved teach us this song and we sang it in sacrament. Thats when I fell in love with it, but shortly after that she was released and then moved away. As a going away thing all of us girls got together and gave her house a heart attack then sang that song to her one last time. This is a special memory I have. Anyways I'm just super excited that I found it. As always, hope everyone is having a great day! :)

Fun Day!

I had such a fun day today. I took the day off to babysit my niece Halle. She is a busy 2 year old, but it was worth every second. Paul and I really don't live in a kid friendly apt. so I don't get the chance to have any of my nieces and nephews over so our apt. really isn't baby proof or too kid friendly. Sure I have Disney movies, but I don't believe in just sticking a child in front of the TV all day. I don't have any toys here, I know i'm awful so I had to come up with some great things today. I'm really into scrap booking and am working on a special project right now so I had all my stuff out, she found some things to get into and we had fun coloring and making fun pages with stickers and whatever else I could find. . I was at Roberts the other day for my scrap book and actually found a few cute things to do with Halle. I bought a purse for her that she was able to design. It was felt and had pieces to come with it to decorate. It was fun and her purse was adorable. I also had a few errands to do so we did that and went to lunch.
Today was a great day for pictures and i'm totally bummed I left my camera at my mom's this afternoon. That was actually my favorite part of the day. Halle and I spent the afternoon at the lake in DayBreak. It was awesome. I invited my sister-in-law and her kids (I'm trying to not say the boys anymore since Presley came along). We had such a fun time. I enjoyed catching all the kids as they jumped off the dock. So I have to tell you a quick story. Halle is just learning to like the water and all that good stuff. Last time I took her for a few hours she would barely get into my pool. I know her dad has been working with her in water and today the boys were jumping to me and she wanted too. I didn't think anything of it and figured she had before. Come to find out she hadn't. With the boys around she became a little daredevil and had so much fun. She didn't want to quit jumping to me even after they left. Then we ended the day at my dad's for dinner. My mom is on vacation and dad had us over for dinner and even cooked. It was nice. I have to tell you even if I can't be a mother right now ther is nothing better than being an aunt. I know i'll have my chance but for now I love spending every moment I can with my nieces and Nephews. Thanks for a fun day.

July Happenings!

So far July has been an enjoyable month for us. There's nothing like starting a month out with holidays. As posted before you can tell that we had a great time celebrating the 4th. The past week has had its up and downs. Work was slow for me, so I had some time to go play. We had our aunt and uncle from Texas here at the beginning of the week. I was able to meet with the family for a nice huge dinner. I'm sorry Paul missed it, I think he was too. Tuesday I took the afternoon and spent more time with my in laws. We sorta did a girls night and had take out and watched a movie. It was fun just being with the girls. My little brother turned 19 this week! I so can't believe it. We had a party for him and one of my aunts. They share the same birthday. This weekend has been fun. Paul had a guys night. His friend David is in town so they went and hung out last night. I actually went and had a sleepover with my sister-in-law. Today we got to go to the open house of the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. I was able to go back in the beginning of June, but Paul couldn't so we went today. It's still as beautiful as ever. We are looking forward to a game night with some of our friends from our ward tonight. I just love when we have good weekends. Just thought i'd post another quick update of what we've been up too. Not too many changes. Hope everyone is taking care. Love you all.

4th of July: Family, Friends, Funnel Cakes, and Fireworks!

Happy 4th of July!
This collage is of everybody having fun at the Riverton Days. After the family BBQ we all met at Riverton Park for the fair and firework show. We took some time to play and go on some of the rides. In this collage Hunter and Jasmine are racing down the slides. JJ took Halle down and his mom took Jaden down. The pic of the guys is from them waiting in line for one of the rides. My brothers, Paul, and cousin Jake all decided to pose for a sec.

I love the holidays. I love 4th of July because its a holiday that gets all my family together in the summer. I am so glad that our nation is Independent and FREE. This year our day was awesome. We started out by being able to sleep in. Always a favorite, especially having a day off of work. We got our day going by going to my cousin Andrew's baptism. It was amazing. I'm so proud of him. He actually requested for the water to be cold. I was amazed at that. The water is usually supposed to be warm. It definitely wasn't at mine so to know that he actually requested it was an odd request, but its what he wanted and what made him happy. After that we went over to his friends for root beer floats. They were yummy.
Later in the day we went over to my Aunt Cheryl's for a BBQ. She did a great job. The food and company was great. We just hung out after that for awhile then met up with everyone at Riverton Park for the fair and Fireworks. Parking was AWFUL. Paul and the boys went on some of the rides. I can't really do carnival rides, they tend to make me sick. So I was in charge of pictures and holding everybody's wallets and cells. It was fun to watch them, even if it did make me dizzy. After they were done on the rides we went and had funnel cake. Apparently you can't go to fairs with out trying the funnel cakes. They were pretty good but Paul and I decided we should've shared one. It was yummy though. The fireworks were amazing. That is one of my favorite parts of the 4th. I love fireworks. They are beautiful. Paul took some cool pics with his phone. I just need to figure out a way to upload them. When I do i'll post them later. I hope everyone had a great 4th!

Long Weekend, YAY!

Today was a great day to start off a long holiday weekend. I had it off today so it was nice just to be able to sleep in. Today is Paul's mom's birthday.Happy Birthday Lynette. We love you. Lynette wanted all of us who could, meet her for lunch today. I'm bummed that I didn't have my camera with me. Today was a day of great photo opps. We met at Olive Garden and had a good lunch. It was nice to be able to visit. My nephews are way entertaining. They crack me up. They love uncle Paul. Its too cute. After lunch I went over to visit with my mom. My sister and her family came over and we ended up going to the lake at DayBreak. It was fun to sit out on the beachy lake and just be with my family. Then we all went out to IHOP for dinner. This is probably a little Too Much info, but I love holiday weekends and being able to spend time with the family. I hope everyone has a good holiday weekend.

Happy 4th of July !!

Relief...

Wow! I can't believe its already July! Where has the summer gone? Where has the time gone? So not too much going on but I just thought it would be a good time to blog. I'm very relieved that both Paul and I aren't sick anymore. We both went to the Dr. last week for strep. Mine was negative but he was so sure I had something that he tested me for a reoccurance of mono. It has been years since I've had that. I didn't even know it could come back. The worst part was that they never called me with my results so I was worried wondering if that is what it was all week. Luckily for me its negative. Come to find out we just had a virus going around. I hate when doctors don't call with the results. Both of us had to call yesterday to find out what they were.
Today has been a decent day. We didn't have any patients this morning so I came in late and I was also able to enjoy going out to lunch with my mom. It was nice to visit for a little bit. Thats not a bad way to start your day out at the beginning of a new month. Well I hope everyone is taking care. Love you all. Hope you all have fun with the holidays this month.
