May Happenings

My next couple of posts are out of order. Sorry. I havn't done that great with keeping up this month. No worries though, not too much is going on. It has been an interesting month though. Here are a couple highlights of our month.

We spent Mother's day with both of our moms. We went to church with my mom and spent the afternoon with her before heading over to my mother in laws for dinner. It was actually great weather that day too.

The week after school got out we took a trip to Vegas with our friends. It was so much fun. Since I'm just displaying pics here are a few highlights from our trip. We stayed at the Tahiti right off of the strip. We shared a 2 bedroom suite with some friends. Danny cooked dinner and breakfast for us most of the time we were there. We did a lot of walking and shopping and sightseeing. Paul had never been to Vegas so this was a first for him. Paul and Danny went on the New York New York rollercoaster. We also went to the shark reef aquarium, M&M store, and Coca-Cola factory. Besides going on vacation with some great friends, my favorite part was going to see the Blue Man show. It was amazing!

I've also enjoyed some time getting together with an old friend for lunch one day. We seriously took 2 1/2 hours just for lunch. It was way fun though.

I'm so looking forward to this week, even if the week started off with crappy weather. Can you believe its snowing in May? It sucks. Anyways my uncle is here for training this week. He came in last night and brought an awesome surprise. My grandma came with him! Nobody knew and so when we got there last night they had her hiding in the bathroom. My mom asked me to go grab a candle and as I opened the door my grandma was standing right there. It totally scared me, but its a great surprise. It's fun too cuz she will be here for my mom's birthday.

I hope everyone is having a great May!

School Update

I'm very excited to announce that I'm OFFICIALLY done with school! I will be able to register to take the state test in the next couple of days. I have to wait til I get authorization back to actually go take it so it will be a couple of weeks, but I can't tell you how much relief has been lifted off my shoulders to just have completed school.

Paul is also coming to the end of the semester. He has 2 finals down and one more to go. He is listed as a graduate for the commencement for this Friday May 7th and has decided not to walk. He wants to wait til he has his Doctorate to actually walk. He is graduating with two associates, one in Psychology and the other in Sociology. He will be completing his last two classes during summer semester then off to a new chapter in our lives.

This is the big and exciting news in our lives right now. We are actually going to to to VEGAS next week to celebrate! YAY for Spring and finishing school! :)
