December

As usual December is our busiest month. I love it though. To me, December is about spending time with your family and loved ones. I spent the majority of the month looking for a job. My brother also had is Christmas choir concert and I am happy that I had that time to go to it. I have loved getting to know my baby brother better the last few months. He has become one of my best friends. I also got to hang out with my nieces and nephews. They always make me laugh. I love my family and am grateful more and more everyday to be blessed to have them in my life. Though 2013 was full of many twists and turns, Im glad to be where we are at and it may not seem that eventful it definitely had a lot of changes for Paul and I.

Fun House

 Coolest Basement Ever!

Uncle Chucks in town...

Over Christmas break we were lucky to get be able to have my Uncle and cousin in town for a few days. I swear it is always a party at my parents house. I love when people come to visit.

Together Again

5 Years: Way too long
Even though our parents aren't together anymore these girls will always be my sisters! We grew up together! Nobody can take that away. For the first time in Five years the eight of us are all together again. I got to meet my niece for the first time when Cassie came from Arizona to visit. It was awesome to get together with old siblings. This was a great night for me. I'm so glad to have been able to visit my sisters.

Gingerbread Houses

November Highlights

Hunters Football team won State! I'm so proud of him! 2nd year in a row! On to High school next year. Great way to go out!
Welcome Home Kaden!

We continued our tradition of the feast before the feast. This year for Dinner at midnight before Thanksgiving Mary, Ryan, and Sarah joined us. Luckily we were able to talk Paul into go earlier so we can have more people with us. We started out at midnight I think with all of us having families of our own we need to go earlier.  Thanksgiving was spent with Paul's family this year.

Happy Halloween

One of the only reasons I like Halloween is it starts the Holidays off! This year we got together for the traditional pumpkin carving. Steve and his kids have a tradition where they make donuts and hot chocolate for the trick or treaters. My moms house became the house to not miss this year. All of the grandkids came over and we pretty much had a party going on at my parents. Some of the kids went trick or treating and the rest of us just hung out. These were some fun pics I was able to get.

Binx and Miss Kitty

 Meet Mr. Binx:
My brother Joe, got a cat for his birthday. He always wanted a black one so he can name it Binx from Hocus Pocus. This cat is mischievous and tude, which totally reminds me of our cat. Hunter and I went over one day to visit Joe and Binx. Binx loved to climb on Hunter. These are just a few snapshots I got.
Miss Kitty:
At one point we were living where we couldn't have pets. We were blessed to have some friends who took care of Miss Kitty until we could get her back. We were able to visit her. Our friend took some great pictures of her. As much as she drives me crazy sometimes I wouldn't give her up for the world. I just hope we can take her with us when we go to school.

Goodbye Party

My sister in law threw us a going away party with the family. At this point Paul and I weren't sure we were staying. We had a great lunch and Gardner Village and after Lunch Paul and I took time to walk around a visit the witches. That is something we do every year around Halloween and we wanted to do it one more time.

Summer Fun

The month of August was pretty uneventful for us. The highlight of the month was celebrating summer birthdays with Pau's family. My sister-in-law Becky hosted the dinner at her house. The kids had a blast with being able to play in the pool. I'm not sure what game they had going on back there but the guys had some sort of game going on. I think my nephews won. I always have a good time when we get together with family. I have the best family ever and the sweetest nieces and nephews!

Family Birthdays

Birthdays in our family kill me. From January to March we have about 90% of Paul's family. I love birthdays but we literally start January 1. Since I come from a huge family we have a birthday just about every month and thats just immediate family. From September to December we have them about every week so I took some of these pictures near the end of the year. I know I'm missing three siblings and I'm sorry I don't have pics but these are July birthdays on.

The end of 2013

I know its been awhile, but I really feel like for those who follow I need to give an update on how 2013 went for us. The last time I posted Paul and I had just recently moved out of our house and had plans to move in September. We still feel that at that time that was the right decision for us, however, as much as I don't want to admit it, as the time drew closer we began to realize that it wasn't right for us. I think because I wanted it to happen so bad I wasn't willing to admit my feelings and I think for Paul as he was realizing it he wanted to make sure I was happy. I truly have the best husband ever! We still kept our plans as normal. I left Granger on September 13th. I think what really sealed the deal and made me admit my feelings was that on September 16th we found out that Paul's job wouldn't work out if we moved. I knew it would be hard with one of us out of a job and we had things set up out there that would work, but I was terrified with both of us not working. The more we talked we realized that we need to stay here. Of course, I got super stressed wondering where we would move. Then miracles of all miracles it just ended up right in our laps. Our good friend had to transfer to California for a job and mentioned it to Paul and said something along the lines of if we ever wanted or need a place to stay we can rent his home, he knew we were planning on moving and wasn't planning on saying anything, but I'm so happy he did. The way things worked out for Paul and I with his job and a place to live confirmed our plans and feelings that we had to stay. I may not understand the reasoning but I know things work out for a reason. Paul got to keep his job and has done well with it, and Im happy to say that after four months of no job, I found a new one at the beginning of this year. I am looking forward to the day we can move so Paul can start and finish grad school, but I really am happy at where I am in life.
