Paul's Big News!

This fall Paul will start his Bachelor program at the University of Utah. It seems like we have been waiting for this forever. I'm so excited for him! It also means he is one step closer to being done with school. Thats still a long time coming but whatever. I'm proud of him and happy we are moving on to the next step. He is definitely a hard worker. CONGRATULATIONS!

CELEBRATIONS

I just want to say that I had an amazing weekend. It started off just right with going out to lunch with a friend that I've only seen a couple of times since middle school. I love getting together and catching up with old friends.
Saturday Paul and I went to Logan to celebrate our anniversary. I just have to say that I have the most amazing husband ever and am so grateful to have found him. We got a room at Anniversary Inn. That is one of our favorite places to go when we need a quick get away. We stayed in the La Hacienda. It was huge, colorful, and quiet. The room had a intelli Gel king size bed. I don't think i've ever slept better. We also had a nice tub and huge shower. The jets in the bath had a light show. It was cool. We also went to the Blue Bird for dinner. We love that place. We were sad to go home, but we had one more thing to celebrate. We had a birthday dinner for my Brother-in-law at my moms house. His actual birthday is today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JJ! I'm glad you are part of our family. Thanks for making Sarah happy and for being such a great father to your children. Life is great and I'm glad that we were able to have a fun weekend.

Remembering Hayden

A little over 5 1/2 years ago my brother, Hayden, passed away. Every year for his birthday, April 12th, my family gets together and does a little something to celebrate and remember him. This year I wasn't so sure on how it would turn out or if it would even happen with everybody just because of the changes that have happened this past year. I'm so glad that dad still got us all together and we were able to take time and celebrate his birthday. We usually do something kind of different every year, but the one thing that has stayed constant is our balloon thing. My dad buys a lot of balloons and we usually write little messages and just send them off to heaven. We've had some interesting ones thats for sure. This year it was pouring as we sent them off. I figured it wouldn't work, but its the thought that counts right? Anyways not all of them took off and by the time Paul and I left we counted 7 balloons that didn't even clear the street behind my parents. It was still nice though. One year we were expecting them to go the same way they have previous years and all of a sudden the wind shifted and took them another way, but it was fun to see how that transition happened. We didn't have much time but dad had cake and ice cream and invited some of his friends too. We all just kind of shared memories and my sister played a slide show then we did our balloons. Hayden was a great brother and I miss him. I'm glad we can do something to remember him by. RIP Hayden.
